A genetic mixture of the Aussiedoodle and the Bernedoodle, the Australian Mountain Doodle (AMD) is a calm yet energetic family dog. Standing about 23 to 25 inches at the shoulder, these dogs usually weigh between 50 and 60 pounds and grow a long coat in adulthood. Depending on the generation of dog, that coat can be straight, curly or wavy, and it is safe to shave it. Australina Mountain Doodles are intelligent and eager to please.

Utah has been a home for dog lovers longer than you might think! At Danger Cave, on the western state border, archaeologists have found dog bones buried next to human remains that are more than 9,000 years old. Still today, dogs and their human families love to spend time together out in nature. Visit the old stomping grounds of your canine’s ancestors in Utah’s state parks and camping areas or rent a cottage on the lake for a nice mix between nature and creature comforts. Thousands of restaurants in this state have dog-friendly patios, while hundreds of specialists are available for all your pet’s grooming and spa needs.
The Golden Retriever was nominated as Utah’s official state dog breed in 2015, but the bid was unsuccessful following a vote.
