The cost of a Havanese can vary greatly, typically ranging from $1,000 to $3,500, depending on the breed's quality and the breeder's reputation.
Havaneses are indeed good house dogs. They adapt well to various living situations, from apartments to larger homes, and they enjoy being around their human family.
While they are relatively low maintenance in terms of exercise requirements, Havaneses do require regular grooming due to their long, silky coat.
The lifespan of a Havanese is generally between 14 to 16 years, given they are well-taken care of and are regularly taken to vet check-ups.
The downsides of owning a Havanese include their need for regular grooming, their tendency to suffer from separation anxiety if left alone for too long, and their tendency to bark when they want attention or are nervous.
Havaneses do tend to bark quite a bit. This breed is known for being vocal, particularly when they want attention or when they hear strange noises.
Havanese dogs can have some breed-specific health issues like hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, and certain eye disorders. Regular check-ups with a vet can help catch any potential issues early.
