Bred from a dachshund and a miniature poodle, the Doxiepoo is loyal, affectionate, fun-loving and potentially yappy. Great for apartment-dwelling families with plenty of time to play and give them attention, Doxiepoos’ size is hard to predict since the breed is mixed. Usually, these dogs reach between 20 and 58 centimetres high and can weigh between 3 and 14 kilograms. Intelligent and easily trained, the Doxiepoo should be socialized early if you want it to get along well with other pets, including other dogs. Play with your Doxiepoo often to satisfy its clever little brain!

A Doxiepoo's cost can vary widely, ranging from $1,000 to $2,500, mainly depending upon the breeder's reputation, the puppy's lineage, and its overall health.
Most Doxiepoo puppies tend to grow up to 10 inches tall at the shoulder and can range in weight from 10 to 30 pounds. Mini Doxiepoos are closer to the 10 pound weight and are bred by using a Toy Poodle instead of a Miniature Poodle.
Yes, Doxiepoos make excellent house dogs. Their small size and friendly demeanor make them good companions in both apartment dwellings and larger homes alike.
Like many other breeds, Doxiepoos can be prone to separation anxiety. They form strong bonds with their families and may become distressed when left alone for long periods.
When it comes to training, Doxiepoos are fairly easy to train as they are intelligent, but it's essential to keep sessions short and fun because they have a short attention span.
Doxiepoos are considered moderate-maintenance dogs. They require a consistent grooming schedule due to their curly or wavy hair and also, a balanced diet and regular exercise to keep them healthy.
The lifespan of a Doxiepoo is relatively long, typically between 12 to 15 years. This, of course, can be influenced by diet, exercise, and overall health care.
A downside to a Doxiepoo can be their sometimes stubborn nature which can make training a challenge at times. Also, their vulnerability to certain health conditions like Intervertebral Disc Disease, hip dysplasia, and obesity are worth considering.
Some Doxiepoos may inherit the Dachshund's tendency to bark at perceived threats. They're generally a vocal breed, but early training and socialization can help manage this behavior.
